The primary purpose of the Remedial Investigation process is to determine whether any groundwater contamination including chemicals, heavy metals and radioactive elements exists at or near the former Milltown Dam and Reservoir site in San Bernardino County, California.
The investigation will also provide data used for environmental monitoring and remediation activities. As far as the remedial investigation is concerned, the most important thing you need to know is why one is needed at the site, and how it is conducted.
Final Thoughts
The Milltown Remedial Investigation (R.I.) Project was initiated to evaluate the extent of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) contamination in the Town and Village of Milltown and surrounding areas. The RI is a comprehensive investigation of PCB contamination in soil and sediment, groundwater, fish and wildlife, impacting human health.
